I’ve always been drawn to the things that feel a little wild.
Dogs with muddy paws. Long drives with no real itinerary. Old buildings. Ocean air. Objects that have lived a life before finding their way to you. Photographs that aren’t technically perfect but somehow make you feel something.
Feral B Wilder started as a place for my photography, but I don't think it will stay just that.
It's becoming a home for the things I make, find, photograph, collect, and can't stop thinking about.
Some of that will be New York. Some will come from places far outside of it. There will probably be a lot of dogs, a little dirt, art in various stages of completion, things found along the way, and stories worth remembering.
I spent a lot of my life following a fairly predictable path. This is an experiment in doing the opposite.
Making things because I want to make them. Going places because I'm curious. Paying attention. Creating before I know exactly where it's going.
Maybe that's what feral means to me.
Not untamed.
Just a little less interested in being told how life is supposed to look.
So, welcome to Feral B Wilder.
Let's see where it goes.
